A variety of equipment such as the physioball, massage balls and more will make this class an enjoyable, energizing, and yet relaxing experience. The class is designed to teach you exercises that you can easily do at home.
In order to give birth with more ease, the musculature of a
women's back, abdomen and pelvic floor must remain relaxed to
allow the uterus to labor with less resistance. The hour long
prenatal exercise class emphasizes attention to the pelvic floor
in order to achieve a strong and supple pelvis and body for
birth.
Education in diaphragmatic breathing, pelvic floor and abdominal strengthening are particularly
useful in developing awareness and control of these vital birthing muscles.
Through movement, breathing and inner focus, we help expectant mothers achieve heightened perception,
new body understanding, and localized awareness.
This class is not designed as a challenging cardio-respiratory
class, however participants are encouraged to use cardio equipment
at the facility before or after class. To get more of a cardio
workout, the prenatal aquatics
class is also highly recommended. |
